Yoga Accomplishments

I just completed a 21 day yoga plan!!

I have always loved working on my yoga journey and I was excited to get back into      it.

I really learned a lot about myself again.

I learned that when you don’t use it you lose it. So many poses I could do I just couldn’t get into again.

I also learned that I am not very good at listening and just being in the moment. I always have to think one step ahead and think I know what’s coming. I know this comes from teaching and knowing the structure of a class, but it didn’t serve my practice.

I learned how hard it was to set up time to do it. Towards the end, I was able to figure out how to do it where my daughter was outside playing and I had time to sneak it in while she was preoccupied. I learned that my daughter really is watching everything I do. Watching her grab my mat and do some of the moves was heart warming. I love passing this on to her.

At the end, I had my flow down pact and felt the strength I once had. I was able to do the moves like before and just had such a feeling of zen within myself.

This is something else I can take off my list of things to do before my 30th birthday!!

I am going to try to do more of a vinyasa style class 2 times a week. These 21 days taught you more the “how to’s” of yoga. Every week it built up, it was nice because I honestly would have struggles jumping into a hardcore class.

This was taken during my last session. I wasn’t able to do the chaturanga or upward dog until the 20th day! I felt so strong and just proud of my body!!
