Rice Crispy Treats
Having a kid who also have food allergies makes it’s tough. I am lucky that I don’t really eat the things my daughter is allergic too. I can relate to her and I know these hacks to help her not miss out on these fun treats.
Rice crispy treats are a fun quick delicious treat to make! They are also easy enough that your toddler can help! I know my daughter loves to be in the kitchen and she just feels so accomplished to see her finished product.
My daughter also has some sensory processing issues so any hands on with food is amazing for her.
What you need:
We used 1/2 cup of ghee – you can use butter if you don’t have any kind of milk allergy.
2 cups of cereal. We used this one below. It’s a brown rice, cacao crisp!

Half a bag of marshmallows- I used Dandies ( they are gluten free and dairy free)
What to do:
I use a sauce pan to melt butter and marshmallows. The Dandies don’t melt into this creamy mixture but once it is all starts to stick together, you know its ready to pour out!
*this is one of those hacks- I have made my share of rice crispy treats with Jiffy marshmallows and the consistency is WAY different. When I was making this one I thought it was not going to work out, just due to the face it looked and felt way differently.
I then pour mixture into a bowl and start adding cereal while mixing
When it’s all mixed together, I pour into a brownie pan and put in fridge to set
Let sit for 1 hour and then cut!

Enjoy
XO,
